Framed Air Transportation Prints
Airplanes have rendered even the longest distance virtually irrelevant and now people can travel freely for leisure or business purposes. FramedArt.com has assembled a comprehensive collection of framed air transportation prints, dedicated not only to planes, but also zeppelins and hot air balloons.
Two centuries ago, the very idea of people traveling on board of flying machines sounded far-fetched and many of the early attempts failed miserably.
Framed air transportation prints are usually depicting planes, which are also used for recreation and military purposes as well as research. The vast majority of the planes are flown by pilots, although some of the latest devices are controlled remotely by computers. Technology came a long way, since Sir George Cayley built the first glider and it was the Wright brothers that achieved the first sustained flights.
Their plane is also featured in the framed air transportation posters, with some of them being available in black and white. Commercial jets are nowadays the norm and among the images available there are plenty dedicated to the Boeing 707, which was the first truly successful airplane of this type. For more than half a century, it allowed players to cover long distances in a short period of time and it served as an inspiration for other airplane manufacturers. Space is the final frontier and there are already plenty of shuttles carrying people and equipment in the outer space.
