What you need to Hang Framed Art
1. Gallery Wall Space
2. Framed Art
3. Wall Anchor or Nail
4. Hammer or Screw Driver
5. Level
6. Stud Finder (optional)
Step One - Find a spot
Find a spot in your room to hang
your framed art. You want to choose an area on the wall where the piece will fit. If the piece is too big for the area in which it is
placed, it will overpower the room. If the framed art is too small for the space, it will go unnoticed.
You can use a stud finder to find
a spot in the wall that will better support the framed piece. Stud finders are used to find the studs inside of the walls and add
more support for the screw and frame when you drill into the wall.
Step Two - Put the nail or wall anchor against the wall
Picture hangers consist of a hook and nail. Choose a hanger based on how much your framed picture weighs. Hammer the picture hanger into place. For extra security, make sure you hammer your nail into the stud.
Step Three - Hang the framed art
Once the nail or wall anchor is completely secured to the wall, take the frame and hold it so the back is facing the wall. Move the frame towards the wall and place the wire on the back of the frame onto
the nail or anchor you secured on the wall.
Step Four - Make it even
Hold up the level on top of the frame, make sure it is flat against the frame for the best results. The level should also be flush against the wall. Move the
frame against the wall until the level shows that the bracket is even.
Step Five - Show off your Art
Now your frame is hung and ready to be shown off! Snag a picture and share with your friends or share on social media
