Framed Hindu Artwork
The most widespread cultural and religious identity in southern Asia, Hinduism has hundreds of millions of followers and manifests in art as well. FramedArt.com can provide both believers and art lovers with a nice assortment of Framed Hindu Art celebrating the temples, festivals and dogmas. With most of the Hindu living in India, it comes as no surprise that the paintings focus mostly on places from this country.
Initially, the term was used to identify the people living on one side of the Indus River, and the etymology comes from the Sanskrit texts. Their religion started to gain traction after the Buddhism began to decline in India, while being established as a fully fledged religion in the 16th century. Most of the Framed Hindu Art focus on the main characters frequently associated to this religion, but also the belief that made it so popular. In English language, the term is usually associated with the cultural traditions, religion and philosophy specific to India.
One of the things that make Hinduism special is that this religion is extremely tolerant and its followers are expected to accept and understand other points of view. This is also the message conveyed by some Framed Hindu Art, with the text being clearly displayed while a soothing image appears in the background. The spirit of tolerance and acceptance of a greater world rhythm as well as belief in preexistence and rebirth are core concepts of Hinduism and appear often in artwork.
