Framed El Capitan Prints
A visit at Yosemite National Park is a unique opportunity to admire unique geological formations and a nice diversity of fauna and flora. The granite monoliths act as a magnet for most tourists and one rock that stands out from the crowd goes by the name of El Capitan. It is an impressive rock formation that catches the eye and with a height of almost 3000 feet, it provides a true challenge for avid climbers. A quick glance at the Framed El Capitan Art up for sale at FramedArt.com will help put things into perspective and provide the impetus to see the rock with your own eyes.
The name of this rock formation was given in 1851 and it stuck, with modern climbers frequently referring to it as El Cap. Framed El Capitan Art will reveal the fact that nowadays it is possible to reach the top of the rock by hikers, while the daredevils can climb the granite face. There are a couple of possible climbing routes and all of them require a great deal of skill and experience, which explains why for many years it was regarded as impossible to climb.
Only a fraction of those who visit the Yosemite National Park actually make an attempt at climbing the rock, a task that would require several days. The success percentage barely exceeds 50% even in these cases, but due to safety measures there are few fatalities. The vast majority of the tourists are more than happy to admire the rock from its base and take panoramic photographs after using the hiking paths.
