Framed Jukebox Posters
Jukeboxes were extremely popular in the first half of the 20th century and they remained in use in the last decades, although they are a rarity today. The first devices were invented in 1890 by Luis Glass and William Arnold and allowed people to play their favorite songs, in exchange of spending coins of different values. FramedArt.com keeps their memory alive with Framed Jukebox Art that are guaranteed to appeal to art lovers and fit in nicely in any room featuring vintage furniture and decor.
Framed Jukebox Art highlight the original structure of jukeboxes, which had listening tubes that served as acoustic headphones. For the first time ever, they made it possible for patrons to choose their songs and usually they had to pay a very small price for enjoying his prerogative. The already popular jukebox was greatly improved in the early 20s, when the new devices would automatically change the records. Further advancements in technology led to the introduction of more effective jukeboxes in the next decade.
Framed Jukebox Art also highlight the great levels of automation that were introduced in the second half of the 20th century. Coin operated photographs were extremely popular in the 40s and they featured increasingly more titles, with over 100 songs being frequently offered. After hitting their peak in the 50s and 60s, their popularity dwindled and they are now on the brink of extinction, being seldom used and usually serving only decorative purposes.
