Raymond Klass is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology and therefore has a strong academic background to support his artwork. He incorporates the latest technology into his art, and works to help other professionals use his advancements. He feels that photography, and art in general, should be about the relations with the environment and subject – not about aggravations over technology. Klass explains the newest technology in simple language, within the context of nature photography, so his teachings break down the wall between the equipment and the art. Klass's images have been published in books, advertising, and magazines. His images are represented by Danita Delimont and The Image Finders stock agency. Many clients like to purchase his art, especially the framed Raymond Klass art, because of the subject matter he chooses. Klass is currently a photography instructor at Natural Tapestries Photography Workshops, the Adirondack Photography Institute, and the New York Botanical Gardens. Publishing credits include National Parks Conservation Association, The National Geographic Society, Nature's Best, NANPA, Inner Reflections Calendar, Smithsonian, PBS, American Heritage, and Nature and Outdoor Photographer to name a few. . He’s has received 3 three esteemed artist-in-residence positions through the National Park Service, and has made the diverse resources of the wild lands available to the public. Klass is the chairman of the High School Scholarship Program of the North American Nature Photography Association. Klass is a popular public speaker and has presented his images to 1000s of people. He’s been involved with two PBS documentaries, and has been interviewed on National Public Radio.
