Jacqueline Ellens owns the Southern Breeze Gallery and she’s one of the leading artists of the gallery. Though she was born into an army family, she loved art from an early age. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Michigan and her Master of Business Administration from Mississippi College. Jacqueline has traveled all over the world searching for spiritual experiences and spectacular vistas. Just after graduation, the artist showed her prints, fabric sculptures and paintings extensively throughout the region. She then moved to New York City where she got a job with a small advertising agency and got the opportunity to learn the tools of the trade in this career while working on collateral and print ads for clients. Known primarily for her abstracts and tree-scapes, she experiences the world as "tremulous energy" and transforms it using expressive but powerful strokes. She has lived in the Jackson metro area for more than 2 decades and for most of that time worked for the local National Broadcasting Company affiliate. The clients she dealt with ranged from Book Publishers to Scuba Diving Suppliers. The artist paints images from her life in Mississippi and landscapes from her travels. Framed Jacqueline Ellens art are very easy to recognize because they are unique. They are found in many collections and galleries all over the world. Viewers will frequently see her friends, animals, travels, and the Southern landscape in her artwork. Jacqueline spent an exhilarating 8 years working and living in Manhattan before she moved to Mississippi after getting married to a Southern man.
