Framed Warrior Art

Framed Warrior Art feature mostly men as they were the ones responsible for conducting warfare, but there are plenty of exceptions worth mentioning. Women warriors are not that rare in culture and literature, with Amazons being the best-known ones and they were recorded in Greek mythology. Pallas Athena or Armored Figure is one of Rembrandt’s best-known paintings and it depicts the goddess of wisdom bearing armor and ready to march into battle.

Portrait of a Man in a Golden Helmet is equally famous, although Rembrandt had an entirely different approach and chose to depict a real character in a drawing rather than a vibrant painting. Albrecht Durer had many of his paintings revolving around worriers, but some of his best creations are actually drawings. Crusades and Knight, Death, St. George and the Dragon and the Devil are three of his finest drawings, both of them produced at the beginning of the 16th century and available at Framed Warrior Art.
