Framed French Baroque Paintings
Framed french baroque art work started in the 17th century through the early 18th century. It is the driving force behind classical and formalized art. Generally, this type of art could have been seen decorating large buildings, like cathedrals or large walls for public display.
The style came to be during a major political movement in Europe. High political figures were looking to culminate absolute monarchy of Louis the XIV. This would give artist the ability to freely paint and showcase their artistic abilities without any interference from the government. Not only was the style seen in paintings, but also in architectural designs that transformed buildings into unique pieces of art that are worthy of being tourist attractions.
Framed french baroque art pieces have been created by a variety of different artists who have dedicated their artistic abilities to displaying the religious culture associated with the French region. Some of those artists include, but are not limited to Nicolas Poussin, Claude Lorrain, Philippe de Champaigne, and George de la Tour. These artists have created beautiful pieces that gives an inside look into the French culture like in pieces including The Good Shepherd, Nativity, and The Shroud of St. Veronica.
