insect wall art
There is more than meets the eye about nature and while we admire the beauty of mammals and birds, the tiny insects are all around us.
Some of these creatures have a strange appearance and some are downright frightening, but the framed insect prints at FramedArt.com project an entirely different image. These small invertebrates are incredibly diverse and there are more than one million known species, with as many as ten times more estimated.
There is no environment that they can’t inhabit and regardless of how harsh the conditions, insects are guaranteed to find a way. They are the very definition of resilience and this is just one of the qualities highlighted by the framed insect posters. Art is supposed to emphasize beauty and even though on some occasions it paints an accurate image of reality, it is meant to have some aesthetic value. That’s why so many of the framed insect prints are revolving around butterflies as opposed to cockroaches or bugs.
The miraculous change that an infant butterfly undergoes and the transformation from cocoon to butterfly has always fascinated and inspired artists. There are more framed insect paintings focused on the final stage of the evolution, as insects spend most of their lives as larvae under water or hidden. Dragonflies and ladybugs are two of the few insects that people appreciate for their looks and delicacy, while bees and ants have a reputation for being hard-working and the posters usually contain an inspirational quote.
