Framed Vintage Travel Prints
With framed vintage travel posters, you can travel the world without ever leaving home. Take a ski trip in Quebec, go on a safari in the Serengeti, visit ruins in Rome, or set sail in Jamaica. The choice is yours!
Framed vintage travel artwork is all about exploration and adventure. Each piece is different, but all are brimming with bright colors and captivating images of foreign destinations. Artist Steve Forney, in his popular print “San Francisco,” calls attention to the beauty of the Golden Gate Bridge in a simple but nonetheless eye-catching way. In it, the bridge towers high above a layer of white clouds, while a plane soars by in the rays of a golden yellow sun.
In artist Ignacio Zabaleta’s “Jamaica,” viewers are taken to the shore of a tropical retreat. A giant palm leaf covers the upper left-hand corner of the page; to the right is a small sailboat gliding across pristine blue water, with part of the island seen in the distance. The sky is sun-filled with puffs of clouds, and on the shoreline sits a large conch shell, beckoning viewers to pick it up, hold it to their ear, and listen to the calm, relaxing sounds of the ocean waves.
“Las Vegas” is a fun, retro framed vintage travel art piece ad. It’s unique in that it shows both sides of the city in the same print. A tall woman stands between the words “Las” and “Vegas”; on the left side, her skin is blue—like a crystal statue—and she wears a glitzy red strapless dress and bangles around her wrist. “Las” is outlined in white, and images of cartoon casinos can be seen in the lower left-hand corner. On the right side, the woman is tan with short black hair, wearing a purple swimsuit and holding the sun. In the lower left-hand corner are images of the ocean, a palm tree, and a beach ball.
