Framed Baptism Artwork

The Christian religious ceremony that goes by the name of Baptism has deep ties, with the procedure itself undergoing multiple changes. FramedArt.com has a nice assortment of Framed Baptism Art that feature regular people and saints undergoing the ceremony, with some of the scenes being inspired by the bible. Despite the variety of scenes depicted, they all have a couple of elements in common, such as the use of water, in which candidates are completely or partially immersed.
Perhaps the most famous Framed Baptism Art to be found is the one depicting John the Baptist performing the ritual. Christ himself was the subject of the ceremony and not surprisingly, the greatest painters of all time have created masterpieces revolving around the scene. They convey exactly the same message and the differences between these art prints are insignificant, although in terms of sheer aesthetics, these paintings beautifully complement each other.

Many centuries ago, the most common form of baptism demanded the subject to be completely immersed in water, while nowadays affusion reigns supreme. The process requires the pouring of water three times and Framed Baptism Art capture the moment when the priests pours it on the four head of the candidate. Depending of faith, some regard baptism as essential for ensuring salvation, while others consider it unnecessary, therefore no longer resort to this ancient practice. The vast majority of Christians perform the ritual on infants, while others prefer the believer’s baptism which is done upon adults.
