Space Artwork
The universe is a great unknown but, there are some things in space that are known and beautiful. Beautiful enough so that artists feel the urge to turn it into eye-catching pieces of framed space art. It is not all about stars, black holes, moons, and planets; there is so much more when the imagination comes to play.
Diane Stimson and Dona Turner are artists that enjoy taking an almost childlike approach at portraying space art with space framed art like “Rocketship II” and “Passing Earth”; both pieces would look great in a small boy’s room. Laurie Maitland prefers to take a more abstract approach to her vision of space in her piece titled “Constellations I”.
Even the impressionist Van Gogh played his hand at space art with his “A Starry Night” that when put into a gold frame brings class to any room. The earth is gorgeous when it is up close and person but, a picture of it from outer space truly let’s us know how small we are in the scheme of the universe.
Space and the universe are a world of science that most people do not understand but like to enjoy through art. Even the simplest of zodiac signs embedded in the constellations turns to a piece of art when it gets to the hands of the right artists. Credit should be given where it is due; the space programs and satellites are responsible for space art that we would never see with the naked eye.
