Moon Framed Art
The moon was created during earth’s early history when our barely formed planet was impacted and the debris formed a new celestial body next to our own. No matter where we are on the earth, we all have the moon, it belongs to our world. It has watched over the night ever since. framed moon art so often captures the important symbolism the moon holds to all on earth.
Scientists throughout the ages have long been fascinated with the moon. That white glowing orb which lights up the night sky. Leonardo Da Vinci’s own work in his ‘Studies of the Illumination of the Moon’ has provided many detailed framed moon drawings. Even after mankind put a man on the moon we still have not ended our love with the lunar body.
Of course, the moon does not light up the night of its own accord. The light from the moon that we see is simply the light reflected from our sun. This phenomenon creates the many phases of the moon and of course the lunar eclipses that spark fascination so much that it has inspired much framed moon lunar eclipse artwork including John Butler’s ‘Lunar Eclipse’ series and Vanna Lamb’s ‘Lunar Eclipse’ series.
While abstract and painted art are all wonderful interpretations, the moon itself is a thing of beauty. Pale white with smoke colored craters and a soft glow. So to really capture this beauty can only be done in framed moon photography. Sandro De Carvalho has captured the moon in all its shapes and silhouettes in the ‘Moon Light’ series. But for close ups you cannot go past photos taken from the Apollo missions.
