Framed Galaxy Art
A galaxy is a space system that has its own gravity, stars and planets. It also has interstellar gas, dust and dark matter in its widespread space field. The origin of the word comes from the Greek word that means “Milky”. From that word, our galaxy got its name, the “Milky Way”. There are tens of thousands noted and registered galaxies, but some of the more famous galaxies besides our own are the Andromeda Galaxy, Whirlpool Galaxy and Magellanic Clouds.
Galaxies can be small or very large and some of them may even have black holes in their centers. They can be presented in three types of shapes: ellipse, spiral and irregular. Groups of galaxies can be categorized as groups, clusters and superclusters. In history, before the galaxies were discovered and understood, scientists have seen all galaxies as nebulas.
Galaxies are characteristic for their various colors and spiral structures. There is an estimation that there are about 170 billion galaxies in the area of the observable universe.
In Greek mythology, the stars of the “Milky Way” galaxy were made out of Hera’s breastfeeding milk. In the story, Zeus put Hercules to breastfeed from Hera while she was asleep, and Hera, upon waking up, pushed away the child that was not her own, and in that process, she spilled her divine milk over the night sky. If you love to watch the magnificent images of space, with swirling stars and bright spiral galaxies, then getting a framed galaxy art print is the best decoration for your living or working space.
