Framed Saint Art

The definition of a saint is all encompassing and all religions have a similar take on the notion, with holy people to be found in all of them. In most cases, they need to be recognized by the ecclesiastical order, but there are plenty of examples of saints that have attained their status via popular acclamation. The vast majority of Framed Saint Art is dedicated to saints celebrated by Christianity, but other religions are also extensively covered and the most relevant figures enjoy plenty of attention.

The term comes from Latin language and it was adopted by virtually all modern languages, slightly changing its meaning over the course of centuries. In some religions, the term is also attributed to leading faithful not only the deceased, including all people whose deeds are worthy of worship. Not surprisingly, famous painters have dedicated a lot of time and energy to creating masterpieces, with Framed Saint Art being authored by Leonardo da Vinci, Salvador Dali and Albrech Durer to name but a few.
