Creation of Adam Framed Art

The fresco painting, crafted more than 500 years ago, covers a significant part of the Sistine Chapel’s ceiling. Michelangelo drew inspiration from the Book of Genesis, and it is supposed to capture the very moment when God breathed life into Adam. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful frescoes in the world and attracts tens of thousands of tourists every month. At the cornerstone of the Creation of Adam Art are the hands of Adam and God that almost touch, a familiar image replicated on countless occasions. Michelangelo produced the fresco at the request of Pope Julius II, and it took him more than four decades to complete the masterpiece. While it was supposed to be ready in less than five years, it took almost ten times longer and even after all these years, it was not finished.
