Framed Stonehenge Artwork
One of the few prehistoric monuments still standing and perhaps the best-known one in England, Stonehenge also appears in posters at FramedArt.com. The standing stones are displayed in a circle, within the earthworks and located in an area that abounds in Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments. Some of them appear next to the stone celebrated in Framed Stonehenge Art, making them an excellent choice for decorators and history buffs.
Framed Stonehenge Art highlight the fact that the stones have been around for a long time, with archaeologists suggesting that they were built roughly 5000 years ago. It is not yet certain whether they were they originated before being raised at the site, but the circular structure has served as a burial ground right from the start. Archaeologists discovered remains of human bone as well as cremated bodies, which is consistent with the aforesaid theory.
The stones are acting as a silent reminder of those ancient times and Framed Stonehenge Art brilliantly captures the feeling of awe that engulfs the visitors. Over the course of time, the structure underwent multiple modifications, with three major stages and each time stones were added or removed. What makes the site so fascinating is that the culture that built it left no written evidence, so modern people can only speculate about its ultimate purpose. The stones enjoyed ample coverage in artwork over the course of time, with paintings and drawings authored by famous artists now being included in this collection.
