Framed South Dakota Wall Art
The state of South Dakota was inhabited by Sioux Native Americans and the name derives from these indigenous people who ruled the land before the European colonists arrived. One of the largest states, it is also among the least populous and densely populated, with its capital city having just a bit more than 10,000 people. Sioux Falls is the largest city statewide, but still small by US standards and it is the one featured more often in the Framed South Dakota Art sold by FramedArt.com.
Framed South Dakota Art highlights the predominance of ranching as an agricultural activity although the economy as a whole depends more on defense spending and tourism. Compared to North Dakota that is not that successful at attracting tourists, the southern state has a couple of popular attractions, including the world-famous Mount Rushmore. Hundreds of thousands of tourists come here every year to admire the famous presidents carved in stone by Gutzon Borglum and his son almost a century ago.
The natural beauties rival this man-made wonder and Framed South Dakota Art make a compelling case, by highlighting the unique grassland ecosystems. Perhaps more impressive are the rock formations in the Badlands National Park, with high-resolution panoramic photographs presenting prospective tourists with a strong incentive. The Saddle Pass Trail has its own unique rock formations, including the famous Sculpted Spires, while the Wind Cave National Park hiding dozens of such caves known for equalizing the atmospheric pressure.
