Framed Montmartre Paintings
The hill of Montmartre is easily accessible today and that’s why most of those who visit Paris make time to check out this district in the 18th arrondissement. It has some of the most beautiful buildings in the French capital, with all of them being well preserved by the municipality. The structure that dominates the neighborhood is the world-famous Basilica of the Sacre Coeur, one that appears in most of the Framed Montmartre Art up for sale at FramedArt.com.
Even though the white domed church acts as a magnet for tourists and appears in many Framed Montmartre Art, these are also celebrating the charm of other structures. Even older churches can be discovered here, including some that served as a gathering place for the Jesuit order. Parisian artists, but also painters, sculptors and poets who lived outside the French capital, found Montmartre to be an excellent place to work and many chose to set up studios here.
With so many famous artists living and working in Montmartre, it was only natural for some of them to be inspired by the surroundings. For almost 5 decades which were affectionately called the Belle Epoque they created masterpieces and art lovers can find dozens of them here. Pierre Auguste Renoire, Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, Amedeo Modigliani, but also Dutch painters such as Vincent van Gogh were fascinated by this neighborhood and there is Framed Montmartre Art celebrating their paintings.
