Framed Maui Artwork
The island of Maui is one of the largest in the United States and the second largest in the archipelago, more than 150,000 inhabitants. Many centuries ago, the island was inhabited by Polynesians and the Asian civilizations introduced a social system that lasted for hundreds of years. It became a part of the kingdom of, Kamehamena at the end of the 18th century and the most relevant moments of its history are depicted in the Framed Maui Art at FramedArt.com.
The inhabitants of the island managed to preserve many of their traditions after Capt. James Cook discovered the island and the French colonized it. At the middle of the 19th century, when whaling was at its height, the island of Maui became a major center, with hundreds of ships coming here each season. Even though whaling loss traction over the next decade, this important moment in its history is also captured in Framed Maui Art.
Nowadays, the islands are immensely popular with tourists, including Americans who seek an exotic yet safe place to explore. Surfers feel like in heaven here, with the highways making the island of Maui an exceptional destination throughout the year. Framed Maui Art features them as they go about their daily activities, while highlighting the beauty of sunsets in the background. Those who venture deep inside the island, will have the chance to explore the visually impressive Haleakala Crater in the local national park.
