Framed Colosseum Art

Framed Colosseum Art sometimes incorporates other impressive buildings located nearby, such as the Roman Forum. The structure is made exclusively of stone and concrete and it managed to retain the title of the largest amphitheater for almost 2000 years. Other Roman emperors decided to make slight modifications of the structure, to hold more spectators or to make it suitable for enacting famous battles.

It is estimated that almost 80,000 spectators could fit in and watch shows of impressive scale, a purpose that the Colosseum has served for hundreds of years. During the medieval times, it was no longer used for entertainment and over the course of centuries it fell into a state of disrepair. Even so, it remains one of the key landmarks of Rome and a symbol of its imperial power.
