Framed Alternative Music Art
Alternative music is commonly referred to as alternative rock and just as the name suggests, it bears many similarities to the genre that inspired it. In the 80s when the rock was immensely popular worldwide, the underground bands started to make a name for themselves. Some of them were so successful that they outshine the mainstream counterparts and some of them are now celebrated in Framed Alternative Music Posters at FramedArt.com.
Framed Alternative Music Posters covers all three decades of alternative rock, while trying to capture the very essence of this rather new musical genre. The defiant attitude of the protagonists, the distorted guitar sound as well as the concepts and ideas promoted in the songs are at the cornerstone of the current. The earliest roots can be traced in the late 70s, when the first bands were created and they drew inspiration from the punk rock sub genre.
It doesn’t happen too often for underground artists to achieve worldwide recognition, but that’s exactly what some of the most successful alternative rock bands accomplished. There are plenty of different variants of the genre, that is hard to keep track of all of them, but Gothic rock, noise pop, indie pop and grunge are some of the most noteworthy ones. Framed Alternative Music Posters does a fine job at bringing all of them in the spotlight as well as the artists and bands that made them famous. Most of those depicted in artwork are the ones that also had commercial success on both sides of the Atlantic.
