Artist Richard Judson Zolan (1931 - 2001) was born in Chicago, IL. He was a strong adherent to the principles of American and European impressionism. He was a graduate of the prestigious Art Institute of Chicago and also studied in New York City’s famed Art Students League. Zolan was a student of Louis Rittman, his personal friend, an instructor, and a student of Monet for over twenty years. He quickly became Louis’ prized pupil because of his hard work and dedication.
