John Zaccheo Art

John Zaccheo was born in Kingston, New York. He’s is one of the most renowned impressionists in the world. He earned degrees from Dutchess College and Syracuse University. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy, and completed a tour duty of Viet Nam and two world cruises. He was honorably discharge from service after which he continued with his studies at the Art Student League in New York. Zaccheo later studied with John Pike, Arthur Lidov, David Lax, Robert Benny, Joseph Hirsch, Lewis Krevolin and Leslie Ross. His professional accomplishments include making the official painting of the original landing on the Moon, and being selected to create the official painting for the signing of the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel. His works have also appeared on the cover of Life and Time magazines. Zaccheo's love for Italian scenery and his Italian heritage come to life in his inspirational paintings. He finds the inspiration for his works in the memories of the Mediterranean villages he has come to love. Only a few people experience the world as Zaccheo has; and they are those who have stepped into his paintings and made believe. Zaccheo paints with passion, and uses his brush and palette knife to create such scenes that are bathed with blues and lavenders, shrouded with mystery, while retaining alluring shadows.
