Kent Youngstrom says that the busier life gets, the more we forget how to live it. But he counts himself lucky to have found his own way of living - every day. All he has to do pick up a brush, start feeling, stop thinking … and paint. Owning a piece of his art probably won’t change your life, but it might make you pause, smile, breathe, and remember to live your own life your own way. He’s a self taught artist, basically a painter with background in interior and graphic design. He lives in North Carolina with his amazing family. Most mornings, Youngstrom wakes up at 5am, whirls the children off to school, checks his computer for new orders, plants himself in the center of not less than 10 half-covered canvases, and rarely stops moving until evening. He usually splatters in about 7 colors of paint. He says it’s a good way to move through the world, adding that life is complicated enough, so he keeps his work simple. He hopes his art will make viewers have a second look, smile, feel and lastly make a purchase. Youngstrom has been a painter for many years, but when he began painting, he never had any big plans or ambitions. It was as if he was just painting for fun. In fact his first paintings were sold to his family, friends and a few local fans. As time went by he became an artist with clients worldwide. The framed Kent Youngstrom art are now available in many art stores around the world.
