Glen & gayle Wans Art

Glen & Gayle Wans is a partnership of two artists each contributing to the final product. Gayle is a self-taught set designer while Glen studied graphic design at The Newark School Of Fine And Industrial Art in Newark, New Jersey. They print their own work, using their archival pigment ink printer. This machine allows them the total control necessary to produce the best image possible. Glen & Gayle Wans’ minimalist still-life images of found and natural objects are studies of color, form and texture. They make them with the intention of bringing the beauty of found and natural objects to the forefront and in the process they create a contemplative, peaceful atmosphere through interplay of light and balanced design. Their work is a result of shared ideas. The elements are brought together by Gayle. These elements make up each design and together they create the composition and the lighting. They do all their works in their studio. The process might take from hours to weeks to reach the perfect balance. At the end of it all, Glen photographs the end result with a large format studio view camera. Glen & Gayle Wans are available for commissions. They usually start with an empty studio floor, upon which their ideas are transformed into reality. Their original collaboration started more than forty years ago as partners creating photographic illustration for advertising, specializing in food work and still life. Today they produce high quality framed Glen & Gayle Wans art that come ready to hang with all the accessories required.
