Vladimir Nikolov (Born 1988) is a Bulgaria-based artist. As a kid he drew dinosaurs most of the times, but also drew a variety of other things like trains, cars, aliens, spaceships … basically what children draw. He’s a traditional artist and in his work he uses a variety of traditional media. His interest in dinosaurs started in 1993 after he watched the trailer of “Jurassic Park” on TV. After seeing these animals on screen, Nikolov became fascinated by them and also by the world they lived in, so he decided that he wanted to learn as much as possible about them, but it wasn’t until 1991 that he watched “Jurassic Park” for first time. However, by then Nikolov was already deep into dinosaurs, as much as a seven-year old can be. Though his family didn’t take seriously his enthusiasm in art at first, this did not affected his efforts in learning more about dinosaurs, and it actually motivated him to be more serious about art. And in the long run, he was bitten by the dino-mania sickness that he couldn’t heal from, so it stuck with him, and ever since it has been a major part of his life. The artist actually likes to think about his interest in art (dinosaur) as a classic example of “love from first sight.” He got his art education in 2008 when he graduated from National High School of Stage and Film Design, Plovdiv. Framed Vladimir Nikolov art is a common sight in many prestigious buildings around the world.
