Kathie Thompson’s art training includes studies with Elizabeth Torak, Daniel Keys and other renowned still life artists, and also with landscape artists such as Dennis Sheehan and Audrey Romano, among others. After holding her first successful exhibition and receiving positive reviews from participants, critics and viewers, several other exhibitions followed. Over the past 2 decades, her exhibitions have included several one person shows at the Southern Vermont Arts Center, as well as the House & Garden Show in 2009 (June) in which she took part together with leading artists Mallory Lake and Christopher Pierce. Her artwork is much admired for her ability to combine liberty of medium and precision of observation with a polished finish. Kathie has been much encouraged by the feedback she gets from those who view her art, especially the professional art critics.
