Eugene Tava is lucky to have married a fellow artist, Janet Brignola Tava. His wife is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts with a degree in painting. She also studied at Parsons School of Design and at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Tava has close to 30 years of experience in the arts industry and has therefore mastered his trade and has also managed to attract a wide base of esteemed clients. Tava’s work focuses on an exploration of the medium itself. His technique not only reexamines the medium itself but creates visually striking images. In 1987, Tava and Janet together opened TAVA STUDIOS in his Victorian home in New Jersey. This studio has given them the opportunity to pursue diverse projects while at the same time perfecting their skills in decorative and fine arts. His art, especially the framed Eugene Tava art, has found its way into some of the most prestigious buildings in the world. He’s much inspired by the positive reviews he receives from art critics, and they have drawn much interest among art students and teachers alike. He has shown his original artwork in the United States and abroad including Highpoint, NC, N.Y.C. and Art Expo. For licensing of their print and mural work, the couple is currently affiliated with Galaxy of Graphics. Word Trade Center commissioned one of his art works for the reception area in New York City. His worldwide fame has made his art to be highly sought after. Although many consider the couple as successful artists, they still feel that they need to learn. That’s why they constantly visit art galleries and museums to observe the works of other artists.
