Ric Stultz Art

Ric Stultz lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in a little house with his girlfriend and dog. His days are mostly spent in the studio working on his clients’ paintings and projects. He prefers to create as much of his work as possible by hand and use the computer only for minor adjustments and output. Other than working in the studio, his favorite activity is gardening. They have a small plot of land that they have completely filled with flowers and vegetables. Stultz graduated with Bachelor’s degree in graphics design. His interest in art began when he was in college studying. He loves to draw and illustration seems to him like a commercially viable combination of his interests. He is glad he carried through with his graphic design degree as it has helped him immeasurably with his website and marketing his work. He uses hand drawing with bright colors and hard edge line work. Everything starts in his sketchbooks. He tries to sketch for a few hours everyday. It takes him awhile to warm up before his drawings are lucid. Stultz mostly uses traditional techniques and tools: paper, ink paints, brushes, and gesso. He also uses Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. When working on digital images, he always draws his pictures on paper first and then scans them in. His art is the natural progression of his vision as it extends itself into inanimate and nature objects. Framed Ric Stultz art are in great demand and can be found with many collectors, both public and private.
