Renee Stramel grew up outside of Washington D.C. She’s a Photographic Artist living and working in Richmond, VA. Viewing the world through the camera’s lens and developing the prints became her first love. As years went by, Renee discovered how to produce images in a highly creative manner while staying true to the feelings of those crucial moments in time. She came of age in the post punk era in the mid 1980's, and is one of those people who are always taking pictures. Her photographs have received positive reviews, a fact that has given her a reason to keep pressing on with her work. She participates in exhibitions to showcase her art – a fact that has made her work to be so popular. Renee is inspired constantly, and she feels that technology has finally caught up with her brain. With an eye for the magic of an object or a scene Renee continues to capture the beauty in unexpected objects and places both at home and around the world. Her work is bold and graphic and reflects her love of color, yet she also has an affinity for iconic black and white images. After seeing Renee’s picturesque, harmonious photographs, which decorate many walls in Richmond, VA, Gallery, one would want to travel to these places to see those brilliant places for themselves.
