Roderick E. Stevens Art

Roderick E. Stevens is an incredible and esteemed photorealist painter. Each piece is not a photograph, but a painting! And his artwork in mixed media brings the thrill of his paintings into 3Ds, using found objects to create energetic construal of memorable icons. All This exploded out of him about 10 years ago. He painted in high school, but film always was his passion and that’s what he pursued after school. He turned to painting in 2004 as a way of escaping some personal drama and by the time he had finished two paintings, Stevens came to realize that his calling was in painting, and he decided that he should something with it, and he began painting and creating for a living. Stevens has been intrigued with art in all forms from the time of early boyhood. Because of his background in cinematography, when his brush meets canvas, he’s drawn to photorealism. The artist is particularly intrigued by the refraction of light through liquid and glass, or the reflection of light off of specular surfaces and chrome. It’s therefore no surprise that he continues to adore artifacts of photography, and most of the times include them in his paintings. He counts himself blessed to have his work shown in prestigious art galleries from Las Vegas Palm Desert and Monterey to, and throughout Scottsdale, Arizona in Tucson, Prescott, Carefree, Sierra Vista and Bisbee. His greatest love is meeting his collectors personally at exhibitions, fine art festivals, and shows across the country. Framed Roderick E.
