Mindy Sommers started her artistic journey with fractals, and then she got into making impossible dreamscape scenes by post processing them in Photoshop. Eventually, she went to vintage, and she was deeply into vintage collage for many years. Later on, she learned how to paint digitally, and stopped depending so much on plugins and filters and more on her own creativity and ingenuity with layers and brushes. She loves that digital art is an endless ocean of possibility; she learns something new every day. Mindy was born and raised in New York. She’s an artist who specializes in home decoration. She's a multiple award winning artist whose artwork has adorned and has been displayed in book covers, graphic and art magazines. When asked what her favorite color to use in art is, she said that all colors are glorious to her, even the unsexy ones like orange and brown (she used to hate orange and other unsexy colors) can just knock her out if they are used in the right way. Mindy likes extremes: either barely saturated or very saturated; either painfully feminine or very gritty. She adds that anything that goes overboard gets her attention. Apart from her interesting lifestyle, her artwork is the one thing that has earned her reputation in US and on an international scene.
