Jerry Sic Art

Jerry Sic (Born in 1942) was born in Nebraska. He likes his viewers to bring their own interpretations, reflections or impressions to his paintings without being taken there directly by hi. His goal is to communicate the essence of his subjects in a way that captures the attention of the viewers, so they can stand and have a second look. However, he leaves some of the imagination to the viewer. He studied art at the Otis Parsons Institute at UCLA and the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. His work has been described as Expressionism and Impressionistic. His art can be found in corporate and private collections in the United States and around the world, as well as in many hospitality, retail and media venues. They are mainly produced as framed Jerry Sic art (though other finishing options are also available). His style which is referred to as "drawing with paint" sets his work apart from the works of other artists with in its ability to combine both contemporary and traditional elements at the same time. Sic gathers inspiration from life, which he then translates it into her artwork. His work combines emotional content, observation, reinvention, technique, and exploration. It is the artist’s intention to create rich surfaces and forms that are intriguing visually, and with expressive shapes and organic colors, leading the mind’s on a beautiful journey throughout the emotional process of transformation. Sic has built a name for himself as one of the best artists in Nebraska and beyond.
