David Sheskin Art

A self taught artist, David Sheskin started his work using pen and ink. And it wasn’t until he attained the age of 40 that he began serious production of artwork. The more than 25 years that followed saw him produce hundreds of works that have been sold to many art lovers. Drawing with pen and ink was so easy to him that the images seemed to be flowing spontaneously from the tip of his pen onto the sheet of paper. Hundreds of his pen and ink drawings were published in numerous magazines in the 1980s. A full collection of his drawings can be found in the book titled “Magician With a Pen,” published in 2007 by Wingspan Press Publishers. Sheskin began painting in acrylics in the 1990s and produced a series of folk art paintings. Quite a number of these paintings have been published as note cards and calendars. Due to his love of animals, Sheskin created new works using mediums of collage and sculpture. He recently started employing digital technology to create stylized images of birds, dogs, cats, and fish. Digital technology has made his work more efficient and he’s able to produce many art pieces within a short time. Sheskin’s art is loved by many people throughout the world.
