Carol Saxe’s work has been published in posters by the New York Graphics Society, Inc. and Fairfield Publishing and Galaxy of Graphics. She’s an award winning artist whose work is represented in numerous private, corporate and national collections. Her works have been widely exhibited in the New York metropolitan area over the last 20 years. Her art depict sunlit, often detailed architectural renderings of historic brownstones as well as images of water views, porches and gardens. Her trip to France resulted in paintings of Parisian cafes, shops and architecture, as well as Mediterranean views. Carol has been strongly affected by visual stimuli for as long as she can remember, recording her impressions in paintings and drawings. People, water, places, windows, boats and doors have been constant themes throughout her art. The artist uses playful compositions, reflections and added elements to better communicate the feelings the setting inspire. Her recent solo exhibitions include among others Chrysalis Gallery, Southampton, Pandion Gallery, Fishers Island, Mark Humphrey Gallery, Southampton, East End Books/ Gallery and Music, Christopher Gallery, Stony Brook, and Delaney Cooke Gallery, Sag Harbor. She has also participated in many group shows. She received the Joel E. Smilow Foundation award and the Salmagundi Club Award for painting from the Silvermine Guild Juried Annual and for representational Painting from C.L.W.A.C. Annual Exhibit respectively. Today, framed Carol Saxe art are a common sight in many prestigious buildings around the world. She’s always searching for better ways to communicate the feelings and visual complexity she sees in the settings she chooses to create.
