Lisa Ridgers (Born September 1968) was born in Shoreham-By-Sea on England's South Coast. Part of her childhood was spent on the quaint island of Majorca in the Mediterranean Sea. Lisa’s passion to create art has always been with her as long as she can remember. She began expressing this passion with sketching and drawing, and when she was only thirteen years old, she found herself selling her pencil sketch portraitures. Lisa finished her education in the United Kingdom then went to the United States as an English nanny. Her inherent artistic ability and her earned B.S. Degree in Finance became the perfect combination for a full-time creative career. She complemented this with the strong business sense she acquired in her years in the mortgage business and in sales. Switching from a financial calling to a creative one was the best thing she ever did, but she acknowledges that her financial background deeply empowered her career as a self-employed business-savvy artist.
She has developed her own unique style using acrylic paints. She also uses a range of techniques and mediums that create a harmonious, fresh look. Lisa’s multimedia works have been described as a fusion of natural elements and bold organic palettes, with a subject matter ranging from vivid and earthy abstract landscapes to contemporary minimalist representations. When she’s not painting in her studio, she enjoys playing with her dog, traveling, kayaking, photography, watching movies, and attending art shows and local galleries. Lisa has had numerous group and solo exhibitions, and framed Lisa Ridgers art can be found in both private and corporate collections in the United States, Europe and Canada.
