Tita Quintero comes from a family of artists with great trajectory. Her sister Patricia Quintero, who lives in Miami Beach, is another successful artist too. Her mother is also a well known artist in Colombia. Tita’s real name is Margarita Quintero and she comes from Colombia. She has been living in Florida for many years dedicated to her artwork. She’s been doing exhibitions, painting, and teaching her techniques for several years with huge success. In 1978 she was commissioned to do a portrait of Pope John Paul II. When she was through with this project, she had the great honor of giving the painting to the Pope in her own hands. She has shown her paintings at many out of state and local galleries as well as in Colombia. She also has the gift to do portraits. Tita is currently selling the rights to an international company to reproduce her paintings. She has studied at many places including; Texture Dec & Int Design School Miami, Dolores Nunez Bogota, ITAE Bucaramanga, Alexandra Villegas Bogota, Carlos Orrea Bogota, Mario Hernandez Bucaramanga, and Leovid Silva Bogota. At these places she covered courses such as Murals, Oil Painting, Oil Painting & Texture, Art & Decoration, Oil Painting & Sketch, and Oil Painting & Acrylic. Her experience combined with her education help her to produce attractive pieces, explaining why her art is in great demand, more so the framed Tita Quintero art which are stocked by many discriminating collectors all over the world. She started painting as a hobby, but when she became a single mom, her art helped support her.
