Kat Papa grew up a “military brat” who moved around a lot. However, he considers himself lucky to have had the chance to travel extensively, experience the world, meet different people and be immersed in so many different cultures. To date, all that travels has given him a massive wanderlust. Travel has always been inspiring to me. As a child, Papa liked to doodle, color, and paint and redecorate every chance he got. He’s always loved making all things fun, colorful and pretty. That’s exactly what he wanted to do. Since his childhood, nothing much has changed. He still loves making all things fun, colorful and pretty. But as one grows up and realizes that there are bills to pay they may cut down on certain activities. As a professional, he tried so many occupations: sales, bar tending, marketing and banking, but he was never as satisfied as when he was creating something beautiful and attractive. Once he created the most precious “Masterpiece” of his life (his son, affectionately referred to it as the Genius Ginger Ninja), Papa shifted gears. These are the memories that drive him to create. He feels the utmost gratitude to be living his childhood dream . . . to make all things fun, colorful and pretty. This dream has been fulfilled through the framed Kat Papa art which are truly fun, colorful and pretty. He now gets to enjoy decorating/design for events and homes, dabbled with starting small business with his BFF crafting live plant/succulent arrangements, painting and lifestyle photography. He’s inspired by travel, people, emotional experiences and nature.
