Tim O'Toole's interest in art began at an early age. Many of his parent's friends were professional painters and sculptures, putting him in an environment full of creativity and the celebration of personal expression. O'Toole’s enthusiasm for drawing and painting was recognized and encouraged as he grew to love and enjoy art.
To learn the different techniques of art and venture into the field, O'Toole attended Dayton Art Institute before earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. He draws his inspiration from the impressive works of John Sargent, French impressionist Claude Monet, Joaquin Sorolla and Andrew Wyeth. O'Toole loved the work of Wyeth so much that when he moved to Pennsylvania, he followed in the footsteps of Wyeth and even paid homage to this master of art by choosing Wyeth's home as a subject for his work. His works have a sense of order in his idealization of nature and skillful manipulation of color and light. O'Toole has given workshops and demonstrations not only in his own country but also abroad, especially the Asian countries. While in Asia, he studied the Japanese art technique of creating multiple patterns in a solitary piece of art. His works are featured in corporate and private collections around the globe.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio. In his early twenties he moved to West Chester County in Pennsylvania to capture the beauty of the countryside in his art. When the artist is not creating beautiful pieces of art, he is busy enjoying swimming, tennis, and skiing. O'Toole has settled with his family in Arizona. Individuals who would like ready art can purchase framed Timothy O'Toole art.
