Framed Orange Color Wall Art
An old saying states that tastes and colors are not to be disputed, with painters enjoying unlimited freedom in choosing their hues when creating masterpieces. Framed orange artwork is vibrant, catches the eye and will cause heads to turn, something that this color has done for centuries.
It was used in the ancient Egypt to paint the tombs of pharaohs and alchemists were also crazy about it, as they were constantly trying to come up with a way of making gold.
FramedArt.com has assembled an impressive collection of framed orange prints, with most of them being replicas of famous 18th and 19th century paintings. Jean Honore Fragonard was the first to highlight its beauty and his example was quickly followed by other artists. The impressionists were also enthusiastic about this color and Claude Monet had plenty of paintings in which orange was overwhelming. Perhaps the most famous one is Impression Sunrise which was actually the one that started the artistic movement.
Gustav Klimt is another painter who found this color beautiful and those who are in the market for framed orange artwork will have a couple of worthy choices. Tannenwald I and II are two paintings that project a powerful image of a forest that seems to be on fire, with the silhouettes of trees fading into a sea of orange. The fascination for this color endured and the modern representations are also celebrating orange, albeit in a more abstract manner.
