John Nolan Art

John Nolan (Born 1958) was born in Dublin Ireland. Both his father and mother were artists and they greatly influenced him at an early age. Painting is in his blood. From the time he was just 3 he had a paintbrush in his hand. And since both his parents were artists, their house was always like a big studio. Working with form and color has preoccupied him from an early age and was nurtured through the instruction and encouragement he received from his father. With his usual self-effacing demeanor Nolan claims that his approach is basically spontaneous. But those who have been lucky enough to meet him to discuss his work can confess that his knowledge of art history and color theory is very deep. Nolan talks of depth/color reversals wherein the normal cool-colors-in-the-background, warm-colors-in-the-foreground rules were intentionally ignored to create new and exciting dynamic. Nolan’s interpretation of various motifs (collage, birds, fish, still life, flowers, abstract, landscapes, etc) transmits a positive upbeat feeling to his clients. He was nominated as one of the artists to represent Ireland at “The Biennale Internazionale Dell Arte Contemporanea” by the International committee. This was a great honor for and a great honor to be recognized internationally. Nolan was once a gallery owner. He had a small enterprise that he called The Basement, a friendly place where he treated browsers to a cup of tea and a chat. Today, framed John Nolan art are selling in large numbers due to their high quality. They are available in many leading art collections allover the world.
