Nicholas Bell Photography Art

Nicholas Bell grew up in Florida (Tampa), and has made his home in Knoxville, Tennessee since 2007. He’s a self-taught fine art photographer who specializes in black-and-white photography and monochromatic color-toned work. For him, photography has very much to do with his perception of time passing and with time itself. He says that his first day of shooting was deeply important to him because he loves the idea of feeling the present time and not being worried about what comes next. He searches for scenes that are pure and quiet because it is in these environments where he feels the most creative and connected. His interest in photography began while he was traveling with the United States Army through Europe. It was during this time that he learned to appreciate both the power of photography and visual art as a means of artistic expression. His photographs are held in private and corporate collections across the globe and are widely published. They were recently published in Black and White Magazine, The Sun Magazine, Photography Masterclass Magazine, Shutterbug Magazine, Adore Noir Fine Art Photography Magazine and F-stop Magazine.
