Lisa Morales did not start working in art as early as many artists. She began serious work of art at the age of 42, and took her first drawing class at a community college. She considers herself to be a “late comer”, but believes in the statement that “better late than never.” But looking at her art today it’s not easy to tell that she’s a late bloomer in this industry. She is also open to learning and that has endeared her to many professional artists and art students. She studied art at the Glassell School of Art and collage, color, and design classes soon followed. She fell in love with paper and it’s the main material she uses to create her capricious collage art. When Lisa is not tearing paper into tiny pieces, texturing and painting, she together with her husband enjoys raising their 3 children in Houston, TX where they have a small roof diagraming business out of their home. Her first foundation art classes completely changed her perspective about what being an “artist” meant. They also opened her eyes and she fell in love with the techniques, the process, the critiques, the paper and the like-minded people. She also works as a professional face painter and on the weekends she can be found turning ordinary children into super heroes beautiful princesses, and butterflies through face painting. She counts her blessings every day and hopes to serve as an inspiration for all creative late bloomers. He framed Lisa Morales art have become so popular, no one would imagine they are produced by an artist who has not taken long in this industry.
