Carolyn Mock was born and brought up in Oklahoma. At a very young age, she fell in love with nature. This passion together with her artistic talent, led her to a path of painting wildlife. Her choice of wildlife is very personal to her and grew out of a firm belief that nature, as well as everything in it, has the right to exist. This accounts for her realism style. Loving art from such a young age made her to interact with many professional artists from whom she learnt a lot. It also gave her the urge to create. Today, she’s a professional artist whose work can be seen in corporate and private collection throughout the world and she continues to gain recognition and win awards. She creates pieces that are simple in outline, profound in tonalities and well-balanced in terms of composition. Carolyn prefers to work in oil not only because of its creamy feel, but also because of its slow drying time that allows her to work and blend the colors as the painting evolves. Those who have collected ready to hang framed Carolyn Mock art have often done so because of the quality of stillness and peace in his art. Her art is in great demand especially among animal and nature lovers. That’s because through her paintings, Carolyn works to show the dignity of each individual animal and the awe she experiences as she paints. She hopes her art will give people pleasure and awaken their feelings to help them identify with some element in her paintings.
