Laura Mitchell Art

Artist Laura Mitchell comes from New Jersey. She was interested in art since she was a kid. Whatever free time she could have, she always occupied herself with art. Laura was lucky that she spent her childhood surrounded by many art-loving people who noticed her talent and encouraged her to pursue her interest in art. She attended DuCret School of Art and is currently beginning a career in Fine Arts and feels very fortunate to be an apprentice with the Jahn Studios. Laura is now a professional artist who captures a rich sense of image and color in what she paints. Growing up in New Jersey gave her a vast array of wonderful memories from which to draw inspiration. Before moving to Perth, Laura lived in Washington DC, NYC, SF and Madrid. She has had a career in music, having received a B.A. in English/Music and an M.F.A. in Design while she was living in the United States. Laura’s welcoming and warm style brings a sense of peace and joy to her viewers’ heart and home through her paintings and prints. Her work has been published as fine art prints, as greeting cards, and as posters. The framed Laura Mitchell art are now much sought after by many private and public collectors and galleries throughout the world. She has been to many art shows and has received many awards including Jahn Studios (Student Show), 1st Place, Salmagundi Club, NY. (Student Show), Connecticut Academy of Fine Art Exhibition, 1st Place, Annual Juried Competition, and Art Guild, Eldersfield Preserve, Manhasset, New York.
