Wesley Dallas Merritt works in mixed media and usually selects the suitable materials for particular projects to ensure that his clients get the best. He works out of his art studio in Zionsville Indiana. His contemporary realistic style of painting shows the true emotion and beauty of the human figure. He has mastered the style and is able to produce a fine line of shadow and light characterized by crisply detailed subjects. He showed great talent and passion for drawing while growing up in central Indiana. Today his work has gained recognition in regional as well as national exhibitions and can be found in many private collections around the world. Merritt specializes in graphite drawings and detailed watercolor paintings. He grew up on a farm in central Indiana and exhibited an interest and talent for drawing as a young child. To ensure his passion had a strong foundation, he studied art at the Joe Kubert School of Art in Dover, New Jersey. After graduation, he worked for several years as a concept artist. In the course of his work, he has devoted himself to painting and has developed an affinity for watercolor.
