Robert McClintock (born 1958) is a photographer who was born in Brattleboro, Vermont. His grandfather, father, mother and two aunts were also artists in different fields. His parents met in New York City and moved to Vermont in 1954. McClintock grew up in Wilmington, Vermont near the Mt Snow Ski Area. He is entirely self-taught and has always had a strong inclination towards the fine art. Both his parents were very supportive. His parents met in New York City and moved to Vermont in 1954. While in Denver, McClintock’s artwork mainly consisted of hand colored and manipulated Polaroid illustrations of SX-70 which eventually appeared in many regional and national magazines as well as shows and galleries in the U.S.
He graduated from Vermont Academy in Saxtons River, Vt though he grew up in Wilmington, Vermont, he then went to the University of Vermont where he enrolled in medical school, but dropped just after one year. He then found a job working in the restaurant business as a bartender and waiter for 15 years. He believed that he could make a living in the arts, so he declared himself a professional photographer. The International Polaroid Collection accepted his work in 1992. He has created over 500 “Photo-Digital Illustrations” and has shot more than 50,000 digital pictures. He colors and paints directly onto his photographs in Adobe Photoshop on Apple computers. Framed Robert McClintock art sell in large numbers because they are in high demand. They can be found in many galleries all over the world.
