Michael Marcon is an American artist who majors in both contemporary and traditional landscape paintings. Apart from painting in acrylic, he also has a passion for a wide selection of media works. Marcon creates media works based on different themes and subjects. He developed an interest in illustration and painting early in life and this played a big role in influencing his career path. Marcon joined Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1997 and majored in illustration and graphic design. He also concentrated on fine arts and particularly mixed media and conceptual design.
Marcon spent most of his final year in college focusing on painting. He was particularly interested in landscape paintings and since then he has never looked back. He says, “I enjoy expressing the landscape in both traditional & contemporary ways.” For Marcon, art creates a special connect between the external world and the internal feelings. He explains, “For me art is about the navigation between internal feelings and the external visual world to create spaces that are both familiar & ethereal.”
Marcon’s paintings cover diverse subjects, including decorative works, landscapes, abstracts, palms & tropical works, and trees to name a few. His experimentation with many mediums, forms of expression, and techniques has enabled him to produce wonderfully eye-catching paintings of different subjects. However, his main area of focus is acrylic landscape paintings. Marcon’s pieces of art are displayed in various galleries mostly in the US. Both institutions and private collectors have his artwork in their displays. Framed Michael Marcon art can be found in galleries and art dealerships ready for mounting on the wall.
